We're feeling unbalanced throughout that giant's tyrannical reign. Never ending constant shock, collective jaw-dropping pain. Oh, hearing the dog whistle, not far, over to the right, rising up ever higher. Oh, but we're not realizing the extent to which it might be all consumed, bought up by the new buyer. Buy it: it feels good to spend as a movement. Try it: a nothing to loose improvement. The right more defined, as we came to find. But in that, more vast. Their ranks rising so fast. But, don't forget, they came together for "something". They came together for "anything". And, though blind, with pride inside. These loyal lab rats, willing to die in a swirling blood red American tide. The right wing now feels validated. And, as they sing, Trump congratulated each and every one... every white-skinned daughter and son, willing to stand up for wrongs they feel they've been done. Oh... this was pegged as being about race. But, it’s more about power. Power! Just because we didn't know who was to blame, the undertow swelled and finally came.

Whimper As We Must

Here we are, mired in our inability to move forward. We cannot condemn, lest we be deemed the cry babies our enemies label us. What’s the fucking fuss? Whimper as we must. But come let us maintain composure while we gain some momentum forward, as we feel some of the pain. Oh! Oh man, but it felt so damn good to just coast along, as we should. But, we’ve heard the alarms. Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves, above these soft hands, to our arms… ’ cause we’ve heard the alarms. Trump is a devil who’s leading the demons. He orchestrates chaos through all of our Seasons. And, we’re on our own somehow? The nation’s torn in half. Can you hear his laugh? We’re filled with rage as Trump rattles our cage.

Our Weight In Tears

Maybe our destiny is to experience the slow decay of this empire, built with blood and fire. It has been our wish for years. It’s been all our weight in tears. Turn our backs, close eyes to fears. Fears. Empires fall, this one will too. Like Rome, Egypt… all of them do. We just thought we’d have more time. But maybe we do? The clock still runs for our daughters and sons. So don’t give up, not just yet. Not just yet. Not just yet. There’s time I bet. Time. Our righteousness and principles that lack kindness for people. Shortsightedness, inability to see what was building up and happening. Happening. What is our goal? Destroy it all or take control? Hear me… the alarm to wake and take back control.

Like A Noisy Neighbor

The collective agreement of law and why it matters—even to an us—with a semblance of order. It's meaningful, society depends on it. We're nowhere near capable of redefining it, so... Safety of all was compromised by how far these years went. And, we all hoped for some kind of real justice. But, it's not about just us any more. And the more things change, the more they stay the same. Perhaps we look closer, maybe we too take blame? And the more things change, the more they stay the same. Perhaps we look closer, maybe we too take the blame? We can’t root for the cops to bring justice, if the only ones they serve are themselves. And, really, what good is the law, if bent, broken, and hidden away on dark shelves. Oh no... when we talk and talk and talk and talk but were still unprepared, no responsibility shared. Theory versus practice: we got burned. Thoughts only go so far: you'd think we'd all know, but we didn't learn. We continue to burn. And it's getting hot. And dreams, they rot, from hopes into ash, if we don't move fast. Thoughts only go so far. Unwilling is what we are. What does hard work even FEEL like? The alarm's at high decibel, and we block it out, like a noisy neighbor.
